This service allows you to post us your HMI2.5 module to be updated and Android Auto activated. This option is available for ALL Astra-K models fitted with the Navi 900, however from late 2016 (16) registration onwards this is usually already installed.

For this service you will be required to post us the HMI2.5 module, this is located behind your speedometer.

How do I remove the HMI2.5 module?

You must first remove your drivers air vent on the right hand side, this is removed using a trim tool or other plastic tool and pulling towards you.

Then after removing the drivers air vent, you remove the small trim on the left of the speedometer, using the same plastic trim tool.

Once these are removed, you can pull the plastic steering column surround towards you and expose the two 7mm bolts holding the speedometer in place.

Remove the two bolts holding the speedometer in place, and pull towards you from the bottom upwards at around a 70 degree angle.

Can I still drive the vehicle while the HMI2.5 is posted?

Yes - the vehicle can still be driven however the navigation screen will remain black.
